Delyte W. Morris Award
2019 Awardee
Grace Vargas, of Chicago, Il, was the recipient of the University Delyte W. Morris Memorial award for 2019. Grace majored in Anthropology and minored in Marketing, Spanish, Political Science and Latino Studies. During her time at SIU, Grace has had the opportunity to pursue research in Houston on the Aftereffects of Hurricane Harvey, funded by the National Science Foundation.
In the future, Grace hopes to pursue her love of travel and study of other cultures, possibly through the Peace Corps or work in public service in Chicago.
