Current Award Information
$1000.00 is awarded to support two undergraduate students pursuing a foreign language or a Languages, Cultures, and International Studies major at SIUC. The award is open to all full-time undergraduate students with a current foreign language or students with the intention to specialize in a foreign language. The award is renewable for up to two years during undergraduate study, provided all requirements are met.
Requirements:
Full-time undergraduate student attending SIUC in the fall and spring of the award year. Preference is given to incoming freshmen, incoming transfer students, andfirst year students- Have an incoming or overall GPA of 3.0 and a major GPA of at least 3.25
- Declare and maintain as a first major any specialization offered by the Department of Languages, Cultures, and International Trade, such as Classics, East Asian Languages and Cultures, Foreign Language and International Trade (FLIT), French, German, International Studies, and Spanish
