Mary Eleanor Buschek Travel Award for Foreign Language Study
Current Award Information
Approximately $2,000.00 per year will be awarded to Languages, Cultures, and International Studies majors for student travel (e.g., study abroad). Award will be divided between eligible students upon application.
Requirements:
- Attend SIUC in the fall and spring of the award year unless graduation occurs mid-year. (Study abroad programs which are pre-approved by the LCIS advisor will be considered as fulfillment of this criteria)
- Maintain as their primary (first) major any majors/specializations offered by the Department of Languages, Cultures, and International Trade within the College of Liberal Arts
- Maintain full-time enrollment (12 credit hours) during each fall and each spring semester unless graduation occurs mid-year
- Maintain an overall GPA of 3.0 (“B”) and a major GPA of 3.25 or better
