Madeleine Smith Memorial Scholarship

$450.00 award for fall 2019 and $450.00 for spring 2020 semester

Requirements:

• Student must be at least a junior
• Preference will be given to a French major, a LCIS major, an International Studies major, or a Foreign Language and International Trade (FLIT) major specializing in French
• Overall GPA of 2.5 with a minimum 3.0 GPA in student's degree field is required
• Student must submit an essay (500 words maximum) addressing the following:
  1. What was your incentive to learn French?
  2. What motivates you to continue your studies of the language?
  3. What aspect of your French studies do you find particularly interesting?
  4. How would a scholarship benefit you in your study and career plans?
