Ron is a member of United Scenic Artists and maintains a freelance design career designing for the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, New Harmony Theater and Vitalist Theater of Chicago. Ron is also a professional mask maker and after studying mask carving in Bali hosted the International Masks of Transformation Conference here at SIU. He recently won a Jeff Award (Chicago area Theater Award) for Outstanding Technical Performance for his mask making for the Vitalist’s production of Passage to India.
