My dream job would obviously be to be on Broadway, but I just want to be able to perform on a major platform and impact people with the many different stories that theatre can project into the world.

Music has always been a constant for me. Growing up, my mother was a music teacher and I was always involved with my church and school musicals. In high school I got involved with band and choir, which helped bring new levels of musical expression into my life. Music is one way that people from all over the world can communicate; it makes us, as human beings, feel safe inside ourselves. Music is important to my life here at SIU because music is a way for me to express myself in its many different forms.

I chose to study at SIU because of the positive environment I experienced on my audition day. I had friends here in the MT program, and they definitely helped me lean towards coming here, so it had already started to create that "home" aspect that everyone wants when they select their school.

My favorite aspect about SIU is how everyone, students and staff, are already your friend when you step on campus. Everyone is so welcoming and kind-hearted when you begin your journey here.

I definitely know that I will always be involved with music because it is such an important tool in life.

This quote means a lot to me because it shows us that no matter who you are, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, anything, that you as a human are entitled to whatever it is that makes you happy in this world.

"Even a poor tailor is entitled to some happiness." - Motel Kamzoil, Fiddler on the Roof.
