KLASSICS FOR KIDS

Klassics for Kids and Jive with Jazz are interactive concerts, designed to expose children to the joys of live classical music and jazz. Parents and care-givers are encouraged to help youngsters develop skills appropriate to a live performance in an informal atmosphere. The 2020 Festival will present a single Jive with Jazz program at 11am on August 15 at the Anna Arts Center. Other past venues have included Boys and Girls Club of Carbondale, DuQuoin Public Library The Old Feed Store in Cobden, Cairo Public Library, Herrin Civic Center, Murphysboro Youth and Recreation Center, the University Mall (Outside JCPenny), Johnston City Free Will Baptist Chruch, and at Altgeld Hall on the SIU Carbondale campus. All events are open to the public without reservation and admission free.

Klassics for Kids is sponsored in part by Southern Illinois Ob-Gyn Associates and WSIU Public Broadcasting.
