Advisement and Mentoring
Advising on courses and career options is accomplished collectively through the individual student, the SIU Advisor, and a Geography and Environmental Resources faculty member who will serve as your mentor.
Your Initial Contact with Geography and Environmental Resources
If you are interested in becoming a Geography and Environmental Resources major, please email us at email@example.com or visit our department on the 4th floor of Faner Hall (Room 4520). Upon becoming a major, you will be assigned a faculty mentor. The faculty mentoring team currently consists of:
- Environmental Geography and Sustainability: Dr. Leslie Duram, firstname.lastname@example.org
- Geographic Information Science: Dr. Ruopu Li, email@example.com
Arranging Mentoring Sessions
To arrange a meeting with a faculty mentor, please contact them directly (via email or talk to them after class).
