Dr. Cho joined the SIUC faculty in the Fall of 2017. She received her Ph.D. in Criminal Justice and her Master’s Degree in Statistics from the University of Cincinnati in 2015. Prior to coming to SIUC, she was a police officer in South Korea (2000-2008) and was an assistant professor at Delta State University, MS (2015-2017). Her primary research interest includes juvenile delinquency, youth victimization, and quantitative research in cross cultural settings. She is currently working on projects that examine how strainful social dynamics and negative emotionality influence youth’s suicidal attempts and thoughts via latent class and latent growth.
