Art Over Easy 2019 Art Auction + Gala

Art Over Easy 2019 will take place Friday, December 6, 2019 at 7 p.m. in the Surplus Gallery at the Glove Factory/Studio Arts building.

Come join us for our 15th annual fundraiser art auction and gala, and enjoy a great party including live jazz music, tasty food and beverages from local vendors, and fantastic art from our faculty, graduate students, alumni, and community artists.


  • $50.00 VIP tickets available. VIP tickets provides access to an artist reception with the faculty and artists who have contributed work for our event.
  • Only original artwork, including work from the faculty, will be part of the silent auction.
  • The live auction will provide an opportunity to bid on experiences such as studio time with our ceramics and glass faculty.
  • Community members can donate work, not created by themselves, for the Art Exchange.

Welcome to the School of Art and Design at SIU Carbondale!

Located near the Shawnee National Forest in Southern Illinois, we offer a Bachelor’s of Art in Art degree with specializations in Art Education and Art History; a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree with specializations in Art Education, Art History, Ceramics, Communication Design, Drawing, Glass, Industrial Design, Metalsmithing, Painting, Printmaking, Sculpture, and General Studio. Our Master of Fine Arts degree program offers areas of emphasis in 2D (Drawing, Painting and Printmaking), Ceramics, Design, Glass, Metalsmithing and Blacksmithing, and Sculpture.
