The Graduate Studies program offers advanced degrees specializing in Political Science (M.A., Ph.D.) and Public Administration (M.P.A.). We are proud to be one of the most diverse political science departments in the country. Our stellar faculty members represent a wide-range of specialties and research interests.
The faculty in our Political Science (M.A./Ph.D.) programs teach courses and supervise graduate research in political behavior, public opinion, racial, ethnic and gender politics, modern political theory, international conflict and war, political development, democratization, public policy, judicial behavior, and more.
The Public Administration (M.P.A.) program prepares students for professional careers in public service (local, state and federal governments). It is a separate program of study from political science, though housed within the Department of Political Science.
