Professor Grant (Ph.D., The Ohio State University, 2001) joined the department in fall 2001. He teaches American politics and methodology. He is a co-author of Expression vs. Equality: The Politics of Campaign Finance Reform (Ohio State University Press 2004) and author of Playing Politics, a book of in-class simulations for American politics courses (W.W. Norton 2004). His recent articles appear in American Journal of Political Science, Legislative Studies Quarterly, and Political Analysis. He is currently engaged in research on measurement theory for social sciences. His other interests include campaign finance, public opinion, and legislative politics.
