Berger named SACP President

Professor Douglas BergerProfessor Douglas Berger, after serving a two-year term as Vice President of the Society for Asian and Comparative Philosophy (SACP), became the President of the organization in January 2014. The same year he became vice president within the organization, he was also named the chief editor of the Dimensions of Asian Spirituality book series published by University of Hawai'i Press. According to Berger, "the series publishes about one text book a year for undergraduate classes on Asian religious traditions."

The series' website lists nine published books to date, most recently including Theravada Buddhism: The View of the Elders. Readers can learn more about the entire book series here.
