Established and growing law firm located in Marion, Illinois has an immediate opening for a full time paralegal/legal assistant. The ideal candidate will have a background in family law however consideration will be given to applicants who meet the following requirements. The individual should be proficient in Microsoft Word and Outlook, have excellent communication skills both oral and written, self-motivated and possess a high level of initiative. Knowledge of Time Matters is helpful but not required. The paralegal/legal assistant will be responsible for drafting and preparing correspondence, pleadings and discovery, electronic filing, scheduling meetings and depositions with clients as well as attorneys and calendaring court hearings.
