1969-1975: Franz Liszt Academy (University), Budapest, Hungary, Degree with Highest Honors as an Artist/Teacher
1975: post-graduate study with Arthur Grumiaux, Belgium

1971: Semi-finalist at the Wieniawski International Competition, 1973: Winner of the 2-nd prize at the Joseph Szigeti International Violin Competition and winner of the Medal of the Belgian Ysaye Society, Bruxelles, Belgium 1974: Finalist of the Tchaikovsky International Competition, Winner of an Honorary Diploma, Moscow, Russia 1975: Winner of the 2nd prize at the Hungarian National Radio Competition

Professional Experience

1985-present: professor of violin and chamber music, Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, School of Music 1986-present: Assistant Concertmaster of the Illinois Symphony and the Illinois Chamber Orchestra 2003-present: summer faculty and performer at the Central Catalonia Music Academy and Festival, Spain 2004 - present: summer faculty at the Illinois Wesleyan University Summer Chamber Music Camp 1995-2001: summer faculty of the Pyrenees Music Festival, Spain 1981-1985: professor of violin, Central Michigan University 1975-1980: First Violinist of the Kodály String Quartet 1975-1980: Soloist of the Hungarian National Philharmony Performing experience: highlights of over 1000 concerts performed include Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center, Detroit Art Institute in the USA, major concert venues in 23 European countries and Japan. Masterclasses held: USA, Bulgaria, Malta, Hungary, Spain, and Latvia
