Wilson Appointed To Alumni Association Advisory Board

The college is happy to announce that another alumnus, Mr. Stephen Wilson, has just been appointed to represent CoLA on the Alumni Association Advisory Board. He is interested in organizing a group of alumni who would like to work on special initiatives for the college. Here is a little bit more about him: Recently retired as a supervising administrative law judge for the Illinois Department of Employment Security, Appeals Division, Downstate Unit, Stephen supervised 25 attorneys in five offices covering those areas of the state outside Cook County. He was a member of the department’s continuing legal education committee and a subject matter expert on the Illinois Benefit Information System project. He has been a frequent presenter at employer workshops throughout Illinois. He is a 1971 graduate of the College of Liberal Arts and a 1974 graduate of Loyola University of Chicago School of Law. He has served the university and the alumni association on past advisory committees and as an officer of the Prairie Capital Chapter of the association. Stephen and his spouse Jo Ann live in Springfield, Illinois. His son Douglas and daughter Caroline also reside in Springfield. His daughter, Jessica, is a 2013 graduate of SIU, where she met her husband, Nathaniel Grunert, who is a 2014 graduate of SIU. They currently reside in Indianapolis, Indiana. Many thanks to Stephen!
