Martha Briana’s MFA thesis show titled “Domestic Disposables” will run from November 17 to January 8, 2016 at the Southeastern Illinois College Art Gallery in the George T. Dennis Visual and Performing Arts Center. There is a reception for this show at 6 p.m. on December 1. Additionally, Martha Briana’s piece “Hidden Temple” was selected to be exhibited for the “Art St. Louis XXXII, The Exhibition” at the Art Saint Louis Gallery from November 12 through December 22, 2016. Opening reception for the 32nd annual exhibit is Saturday November 12, 6–8:30pm. Art Saint Louis is located at 1223 Pine Street St. Louis, MO 63103.


Solomon Adufah is this years Regional Finalist winner of the BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Artisan Series. His work titled “Forever” was picked as the winner in Chicago. BOMBAY SAPPHIRE Artisan Series, an annual collaboration with Russell and Danny Simmons’ Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation. Winners from each state will then represent their city in a National Finalist show this December in Miami Art Basel.


Third year Sculpture graduate student Jeremy Thurlby’s work “Model 2” was selected to be exhibited for the “Art St. Louis XXXII, The Exhibition” at the Art Saint Louis Gallery from November 12-December 22, 2016. His piece is one of 55 selected artworks out of the 577 pieces summited by 139 regional artists for consideration by Juror Ann Coddington. Coddington is an Artist and Associate Professor at Eastern Illinois University. Opening reception for the 32nd annual exhibit is Saturday November 12, 6-8:30pm, Art Saint Louis is located at 1223 Pine Street St. Louis, MO 63103.

Sculpture graduate student, Jeremy Thurlby, has been selected to exhibit in ARC Gallery’s exhibition It Figures: The Body in Art. The exhibit is a contemporary examination of the human figure—historically a major focus of artists. All societies have created their own concepts for how to portray the human body. These concepts are reflected and challenged in artists' representation of the human figure. This exhibit will examine contemporary society's and artists' views of the human body in all of its manifestations.

Exhibition dates are June 22–July 16, 2016. ARC Gallery is located at 2156 N. Damen Avenue, Chicago, IL.
