2011-12 Windgate Fellowship Award
$15,000 for graduating seniors

One of the largest awards offered nationally to art students, the Windgate
Fellowship Award was established to encourage and advance the development of
serious, innovative artists in the United States whose work is in some way related
to, or informed by, the process, material, traditions and/or sensibilities of craft.
SIUC is one of only 100 schools invited to participate in the competition. We will
nominate two graduating seniors with exemplary skill in craft to compete nationally
for this award.

Want to be one of them? Apply to be nominated by submitting:

1. An artist’s statement
2. A CD with 10 images of your work
3. A résumé with any exhibitions, academic/artistic honors, or other relevant
4. An unofficial transcript of your coursework at SIUC

Applications for nomination are due to the Advisement Office (Allyn 103) by Friday, November 4, 2011! Undergraduate students graduating between December 2011 and August 2012 are eligible. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or in the process of becoming a citizen. SIUC’s finalists will be notified by December 2, 2012. Awards will be made by the Center for Craft, Creativity, and Design in April 2012.
