Graduate Record Exam (GRE)
GRE Scores -- Information
Applicants from the U.S. must take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE); we must receive an original (not photocopy) score report. International students are strongly encouraged to take the exam prior to application, or else they will be required to take the exam during their first year at SIU Carbondale. GRE scores are necessary for consideration for graduate fellowships.
Preference will be given to applicants who achieve a combined score of 1100 or higher on Verbal plus either Quantitative or Analytical sections of the Exam.
